CUT STONE SILLS, LINTELS, AND QUOINS. 1993- "This two story, front gable house was built of coursed, quarried stones. It has heavy stone sills and lentils, as well has heavy stone quoining at the corners. Although the front porch has fallen off, as well as the fact that the house is vacant and open to the weather, it is an excellent example of this type of stone construction. In addition, the house is owned by the Ganser Family, one of those named in the St. Norbert's history. This structure was also among those identified in the Town of Roxbury/St. Norbert's grant proposal." - "USH 12, Sauk City to Middleton", WisDOT ID #5300-03-01, Prepared by John N Vogel, PhD (1993). |
