It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. A TWO-STORY COMMERCIAL BLOCK OF HEAVY STONE CONSTRUCTION. THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BUILDING--THE MILLER BUILDING--HAS AN ALTERED STOREFRONT AND A SET OF THREE, ROUNDED-ARCH WINDOWS ABOVE. A BALLUSTRADED PARAPET WITH THE NAME OF THE BUILDING APPEARS ALONG THE ROOF-LINE. THE RIGHT PORTION OF THE BUILDING HAS A LARGE, SEGMENTALLY-ARCHED WINDOW (WITH LEADED GLASS) AND A DOOR SET INTO A SIMILARLY ARCHED, YET NARROWER, DOORWAY. BOTH THIS DOOR AND THE WINDOW HAVE PROMINENT KEYSTONES. THE PARAPET HERE HAS "BANK" INSCRIBED ON IT, AS WELL AS THE DATE OF CONSTRUCTION. FEATURES ELEMENTS OF RICHARDSONIAN/BEAUX ARTS. |
