Additional Information: | A well designed example of a common, early 20th century, public building type, this structure is highly visible within the CBD because of its tower and massing. The Italian Revival design features a three-bay facade, broad overhangs, stylized brackets, and a central tower. Modifications to the entry and the addition of a vehicular access door take away from the building's original architectural quality. The City Hall has been the focal point of community government and public cultural activities since its construction in 1914. |
