ELLIPTICAL ARCHED FANLIGHT AND SIDE LIGHTS ON DOOR. MARY AND OSCAR RENNEBOHM MOVED IN SOMETIME BETWEEN 1939 AND 1943. OSCAR WAS LT. GOVERNOR IN 1944, RE-ELECTED IN 1946 AND BECAME GOVERNOR IN 1947 AFTER GOVERNOR GOODLAND DIED. AS OF 1946 OSCAR OWNED 13 DRUG STORES IN MADISON AFTER OPENING HIS FIRST ONE IN 1913. AS OF 1968 HE OWNED 20. HE WAS AN OFFICER OF BOTH THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF RETAIL DRUGGISTS AND THE AMERICAN PHARMACEUTICAL ASSOCIATION. AS GOVERNOR HE PUSHED FOR LEGISLATION WHICH STARTED THE CONSTRUCTION OF MANY WELFARE BUILDINGS AND SCHOOLS. HE ALSO CONSOLIDATED SEVERAL STATE BUREAUS AND DEPARTMENTS. |
