Additional Information: | This two story Classical Revival building was originally a part of 47-49 S. Main Street but in the early twentieth century, it received its current decoration and became separate from the other parts of the building. The front wall is constructed of Painted bricks. It has a terra cotta cornice under a parapet that is decorated with a row of dentils and sup[ported by classical brackets. Under the cornice and molding and diamond medallions. The window units consist of a single light flanked by sashes. The first floor storefront is attached to half of 47-49 S. Main Street via a band of lustron panels. There is a metal overhang, large show windows, and a neon sign reading "T.E. Ahern Co." This building has been the long-time home of the T.E. Ahern Men's Clothing Store. |
