Additional Information: | DESCRIPTION This Collegiate Gothic school building is constructed of brick and is one story building on a raised basement. The school has a flat roof with parapet. At the center of the building id the entry pavilion raised above the roof in a manner that suggest a tower with battlements. The main entrance consists of a large door with multiple light transom. The door has a tabbed stone surround. Stone is also used to decorate the rest of the entry pravilion, and a stone cornice runs across the top of the buildigs defining the parapet. On the front facade the window of the building are very tall and wide six-over-six-light double-hung sashes. ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINERING SIGNIFICANCE On this building the entry pavilion has the appearance of a tower with battlements at the top. The school also has a parapet roof and numerous decorative stone details including tabble stone surround s decoratind the front entance and other details of the building. |
