Additional Information:The Chicago Northwestern Railroad purchased right of way around the south end of the city in 1893. By 1898 lines extended to the Lake and slip built, originally for coal docks. Controlled by Reiss Coal after 1899. Car ferry service from Manitowoc was abandoned in the 1970's.
