His wife, Elizabeth, was the daughter of Richard Penhallegon, builder of the stone building at 218 High; her brother, R. J. Penhallegon, built the stone warehouse at 111 Commerce. As with the other warehouses on commerce street, this building was used to accommodate trade to and from Mineral Point viea the railroad. it was extnensively repaired and restored in 2002.

Businesses here were the David jacka Warehouse; Ben Blewett Produce Co.; Dunn's Garage; Point Auto Parts; Knutson Motor Service; Walrack Motors; and the Longbranch Gallery."
