NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Relocated in 19th century from original site near Marinette. Restoration by volunteer group started in 1994. 2012- "The Anderson house was originally constructed in 1875 in Marinette, Wisconsin. In the winter of 1895, the house was moved across the ice of Green Bay to its current site. The house was vacant between 1952 and 1993. In 1994, it was extensively restored and reconstructed to its current appearance. The house is a one and one-half story Gabled Ell. The house is clad in clapboards and has a wood shingle roof. Fenestration is regular and consists of four-over-four double hung windows. The windows have wood trim and pediments, and the house is capped with wood frieze boards and a denticulated cornice. A small porch spans the south end of the ell, and an entry porch is located on the west elevation. The property operates as historic village. Nine other historic buildings are located on the property. All of the other buildings have been moved to the site since 2001. None of the other buildings were previously associated with the Anderson house." - "STH 57, CTH Q-STH 42", WisDOT ID #4150-17-00", Prepared by GLARC, Inc (2012).
