Additional Information: | 2014- Appearance unchanged. 2012- The Elmer Kuehl farmstead includes a farmhouse [58185], a small barn [224348], a dairy barn with attached milk house and silo[224349], a stable/equipment shed [224350], and several other agricultural buildings. WIS 67 bisects the property; the house, small barn, garage, and shed are located on the east side, while the remainder of the outbuildings are on the west side. The c.1870 gable ell farmhouse (AHI# 58185) has a two-story main block and one-story ell. Resting on a fieldstone foundation, the walls are clad in vinyl replacement siding and the gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles. Windows consist of a combination of replacement nine-overnine, double-hung, sash and six-over-six, double-hung sash. A brick exterior-end chimney is located on the front (northwest) elevation. The porch on the front (northwest) facade has been partially enclosed. Alterations include a large one-story rear addition, replacement siding windows, and the removal of historic architectural details, such as the boxed eaves, returned cornices, and porch posts, all of which are visible in a photograph from the 1974 survey. 1974- Two story asphalt shingled residence with one story wing. |
