| Additional Information: | Greek Revival with full pedimented gable. Second floor windows have slightly peaked hood moldings while first floor hood moldings. Original entry with side and top lights. Veranda extends across the full front and to the side. Later additions have been added to the side and rear. The Preston house is one of the best remaining exaqmples of the Greek Revival in the area. As such, it is considered significant as an example of the style. A.W. Preston was an early local physician who also held posts as County Register of Deeds in 1849 and Manitowoc County Supervisor in 1858. |
