Additional Information:The Uncle Sam Tractor and Machinery Company incorporated in Menasha in March of 1919 with Joseph G. Sailer as Chairman. Other founders included George G. Barlow and Dr. A.B. Jensen. Engaged in teh manufacture of farm machinery and implements, the company was initially successful with an expansion in its first year. However, by the mid 1920's the company was out of business with the property eventually acquired by the Wisconsin Container Corporation, a manufacturer of paper boxes. The company wsa later sold to the Menasha Corporation.

The Uncle Sam Tractor and Machinery Company is laocat4d in an industrial area on the outskirts of a residential neighborhood. A rectangular brick astylistic utilitarian industrial building, it features a flat roof and glass cubes surrounding casement windows. The front facades feature false fronts.
