| Additional Information: | Brick, Victorian cottage has stickwork in the gables and stilted-arch windows. --- 2022 The inventoried structure is a Tudor Revival style house. The construction date was not available in the WHPD. It is located at the southwest corner of County Highway N and County Highway C, Eldorado, Fond du Lac County. Historical maps indicate this property was homesteaded by 1893, at which time Jas. Kitchen owned 120 acres in the northeast quarter of Section 19 in El Dorado Township (Foote 1893). Photographs from 1974 in the WHPD indicate the house was historically clad in brick with wood lap siding in at least one gable end and had segmented arch sash windows and decorative woodwork in peaks of the eaves. The house has been reclad with vinyl siding, the window openings have been retrofitted for casements, and the front porch has been modified |
