Facade being restored, 1988, as part of restaurant rehab. 2009--Last survey photo shows facade covered with modern materials; facade fully restored between 1988 and 1990. Although functioning as the Bankroll Restaurant and City Lights Nightclub for a period starting in about 1990, the structure appears to be vacant at this time. After the bank was demolished in 2014, the columns were moved to mark where the Mill St. bridge once stretched the gap of the Government Canal and Fox River south to Anhaip St. The columns were carved directly from a solid piece of limestone. |
