NOTES
Additional Information:Queen Anne Style residence with intersecting gable roof with turret, clapboard exterior, two story projecting bay with pyramidal roof and modern porch of thin slabs of stone.

This two-and-one-half-story Queen Anne house was constructed c.1890. It is of frame construction, sheathed in
clapboard, and rests on a fieldstone foundation. The cross gable roof is covered with asphalt shingles and features a
simple wood cornice and an interior brick chimney. Pent roofs enclose the gable ends, which are clad in clapboard. A
two-story tower clad in clapboard is located at the southwest corner of the front (west) facade and features canted walls, a
pyramidal roof covered with asphalt shingles, and metal finial. The entrance door on the front facade is a modern
replacement and is sheltered by a flared hip roof portico supported by decorative brackets. A c.1950 concrete deck with
ashlar stone pedestals and wrought-iron balustrade wraps around the front facade. Windows are replacement one-overone,
double-hung sash, single-pane fixed, and picture with multi-light sidelights.

The house is a good example of Queen Anne the
form that retains some character-defining elements, such as irregular massing, steeply pitched roof, dominant front-facing
gable, tower, and pent roof enclosing the gable ends. However, the lack of decorative details, removal of the original
wraparound porch, and introduction of modern replacement windows and doors detract from the overall visual aesthetic.
