#590. FCS 6/30 - GEORGE WHITING PAPER CO. GARAGES - this conjoined pair of gabled frame garages, clad with wooden shingles and roofed with rolled asphalt roofing, stands at the perimeter of a papermill complex. The wider, roadside garage has three rear windows masked by metal sheeting and four multipaned sidewall sash windows. the channelside garage is smaller in plan, aligned with the other portion at the downstream, front face, and has no rear windows. Built on a common cement foundation, the garages are finished with crown-molded cornices. A rotating vent above the roof valley rises from the inner slope of the roadside garage.

2009--Difficult to reconcile all survey photos with extant buildings due to lack of full access to the property. See also AHI#61049, 61047, 61052, 61051.
