Additional Information:Additional photo code: FCS 6/21.

FCS 6/21 - U.S. PAPER MILLS OFFICE - is a flat-roofed, two-story rectangle, International Modern structure in a Miesian palette of buff brick and dark metal trim. The main facade of five bays has a metal-framed center door with sidelights, fixed transom, and stone lintel. A window above the lintel is largely obscured by an illuminated company shield emblem attached to the upper story. Set above brick spandrels and cement sills, the windows of the ground story are filled with glass block, and separated from the upper windows by spandrels masked by striated metal panels. The upper facade windows have single square lights above inward-opening horizontal lights. There are huttered windows in seven of the eight bays of the upper story of the visible sidewall; the opening left of center has been filled with brick. The right three bays of the sidewall ground story have recessed brick panels, and the left, upstream half of this wall is a recessed loading dock. A shed-roofed enclosure left of the facade has a low brick wall flush with the front wall. The wall cornice is finished by metal trim.

2009--Previously surveyed in 1988; no apparent/signficant changes made to the complex since last surveyed in 1984.
