Additional Information: | Currently a barber shop. 2016- "This two-story brick commercial building has a symmetrical Boomtown façade and rectangular footprint. It appears to date from c.1890. Two eight-over-eight vinyl replacement windows flank the central entrance, which is composed of a multi-light door and one sidelight and is accessed via a small concrete stoop. A wood panel canopy spans the width of the façade, delineating the first and second stories. Three evenly spaced vinyl replacement windows light the second story of the façade. Each window includes a sill and brick segmental arch window hood. Two recessed brick panels accentuate the parapet above the windows. The front gabled roof behind the parapet is sheathed in standing seam metal. The cornice consists of a simple frieze and three decorative brackets. The north and south (side) elevations are characterized by replacement windows with sills and brick segmental arch window hoods. A small front gabled addition is located on the rear (east) elevation. It includes vinyl windows, aluminum siding, and a standing seam metal roof." -"CTH G/Main St, Palm Tree Rd-Cedarview Dr," WisDOT #4854-03-00, Prepared by Rachel Greene (CCRG). (2015). |
