NOTES
Additional Information:DESIGNED IN THE QUEEN ANNE STYLE, THIS TWO AND A HALF-STORY HOUSE FEATURES AN IRREGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A BRICK FOUNDATION, A CLAPBOARD EXTERIOR, A WOOD TRIM, AND AN ASPHALT SHINGLED HIP AND GABLE ROOF. SECOND STORY SQUARED BAYS ARE CAPPED IN THE ATTIC STORY BY GABLED PEDIMENTS, WHOSE OPEN GABLE ENDS ARE ACCENTED BY FISHSCALE SHINGLES AND WHOSE EAVES ARE DETAILED WITH DENTICULATED BRACKETS. THESE DENTICULATED BRACKETS HAVE A UNIFYING EFFECT IN THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN BECAUSE THEY ALSO APPEAR UNDER THE EAVES ON THE SECOND STORY AND UNDER THE PORCH EAVES ON THE FIRST STORY. THE FRONT PORCH HAS ITS ROUNDED CORNICE SUPPORTED BY TUSCAN COLUMNS ON PANELED BASES AND WAS RESTORED BASED ON HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPHS. THIS RESIDENCE IS IN GOOD CONDITION.

INDIVIDUALS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS DWELLING AND THE DATES OF THEIR ASSOCIATON INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: E. W. EASTMAN IN 1900; AND LOUIS GRABER, FROM 1903 TO 1925. (SEE BIB. REF. A). Eastman was the owner of the Eastman Lumber Co. Lawrence, son of Louis Graber, won world-wide attention for his accomplishments in grassland farming and pasture management. [I]
