Additional Information: | Schuetze was president of Manitowoc Furniture and chairman of the Park Board for many years, The Schuetze house is a symmetrical design executed in teh Spanish Colonial Revival style. The massing, scale, and fenestration of the Schuetze house is quite similar to Colonial Revival buildings erected in Waukesha during the 1930's. The Spanish flavor is achieved through the use of clay tile for the roof, curved window treatment and the pedimented entrance. The exterior is composed of a brown brick which is accented by the limestone entrance. |
