NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. The Harwood house exhibits the low profile, projecting eaves and gable roofs characteristics of bungalow design. However, the building is larger than the typical bungalow constructed in Waukesha during the early twentieth century. The main mass of the building is covered by a gable roof running east-west. Projecting from this is a two story gabled section, which in turn is overlapped by a one story, hip roof sun porch. The exterior is finished with stucco, and punctuated by segmentally arched windows.
