Additional Information: | Farm complex contains numerous highly intact barns and outbuildings. At the rear of the house is a fine, exceptionally large 19th century, board and batten dairy barn with a high fieldstone basement. In addition, there are two smaller, gabled, board and batten, 19th century barns joined by an early 20th century four-stall, novelty-sided, machinery shed. This house was probably built by Emil Schmoker after 1909 on a farmstead that had been owned in the 1890s by the Plummer family. It replaced an older house that is shown in the 1897 County Atlas. The Schmoker family was still in ownership of the home as of 1992. |
