Additional Information: | South Side Historic District Walking Tour Guide: "Frederick and Mary Harbridge lived in an earlier house on this site that was either moved or razed to build this "fine residence"- as it is described in the 1916 Racine County history.Frederick owned a drugstore downtown that had also been considered so fine that an illustration of it appeared in the 1879 Racine County history. (It burned down in 1940). Frederick and Mary lived here for the remainder of their lives; he died in 1915 and she died the following year. Their sons operated the store after they died and there was a Harbridge's Drugstore downtown until 1950." |
