Additional Information: | Built in 1912, this two-story American Foursquare styled house features a square shaped plan configuration, and an asphalt shingled hip roof. The foundation and the exterior wall materials are made up of rock-face concrete block, while wood and stone comprise the trim. Intersecting with the main roof at the front and side elevations are two, attic-story hip roofed dormers. The open designed front porch has its shed roof supported by columns. Sidelights flank the front entrance. The residence is in good condition. The concrete blocks were made by Nicholas Graber. The blocks were made by mixing cement with mine tailings from the Tiopoli Concentrating Mill. Also located on the property is a garage; no further description of this particular structure was given in the intensive survey. An individual associated with this dwelling from 1915 to 1925 was Dr. George Huxtable. (See Bib. Ref. A). |
