Additional Information: | Designed in the Craftsman style, this one and one half story meeting hall features a stucco, brick and wooden exterior capped by an asphalt shingled gable roof. Modillion-like brackets line the eaves along the street-facing front gable, and exposed rafter ends detail the slightly flaired eaves at the side elevations. Shed roofed wall dormers break through the roofline, also at the side elevation, and stucco pilasters appear at evenly spaced intervals. Decorative brickwork embellishes not only a front entrance, whose elements include pilasters and a round arch, but also two, second story multi-paned windows, whose elements include round arches and brick quoins. The building is intact and in good condition. The St. Benedict Catholic Chruch Parish Hall is related to the Cornerstone Fellowship Chapel (Old St. Benedict's), a builiding located on Third Avenue, Block 4, Lot 12. (WL 41/27). |
