NOTES
Additional Information:2012: Georg Jacob Loos immigrated to the United States from Darmstadt, Germany, with his family in 1845 and is enumerated along with his family in the Town of Germantown census as of 1850. Tax rolls suggest that this house was likely constructed between 1857 and 1859. Following Jacob’s death in 1875, the property was passed on to his son Fred Loos and his family until Fred’s death in 1915. The next known owners were John & Margaret Kosterman, who remained there through at least 1949. In 1974, owner Richard Weiland added a shed-roofed, second-story addition to the rear of the house. In January of 2025, the building was dismantled. The log were salvaged for a project in Germantown for Christ Church in Dheinsville. The project was done in part with the help of the Germentown Historical Society.
