| Additional Information: | 2025; Phillipson Ford is a two-story vernacular-style commercial retail building constructed in 1915. The rectilinear footprint has a brick exterior and a front gable roof. The front façade has a raised pedimented parapet wall that terminates into brick piers. Decorative brick beltcoursing distinguishes each level. The fenestrations at the front façade have bilateral symmetry: the central garage bays at the lower level were converted into glass storefronts and infilled near the sides to make smaller entry doors. At the second level is a pair of large replacement glass block windows at the center, flanked by narrow replacement glass block windows articulated in a semi-circular brick arch. The sides of the building are organized into bays by brick piers. Windows at the first floor are primarily fixed windows with sixteen lights. One-over-one sashes are at the second floor. Few fenestrations have glass block infill. |
