Additional Information:The Embree House was designed in the Prairie School style by architect Charles Ayars, and was constructed from 1902 to 1903 [MK]. Embree was a prominent Chicago banker and lumberman. The dwelling, which is intact and in excellent condition, is situalted on a sixty-foot bluff overlooking Lake Geneva.
