Additional Information: | This Shingle Style house, which is intact and in excellent condition, was designed by architect Charles Andre who patterned the structure after William Wordsworth's home in England. The Fontana residence was built for Judge C. C. Kohlsaat in 1905. [A]. It features a stone foundation, a stucco and wood shingled exterior, and a combination gable and hip roof. A second story porch, bracketed second story bays, and a door hood supported by knee braces are just some of its decorative elements. Another map code for this building is WL H-11/6, found on the USGS Delavan map. |
