Additional Information: | A frame, clapboard sided house with a steeply pitched, sloping roof that is intersected by a smaller gable. Decorative shingles and a cut-out gingerbread apron in the gable peak characterizes this small two story that has late vernacular Gothic influence. Tuscan columns and leaded glass windows in the front facade decorate the full length front porch, which remains in its original state. This house is important to the community because it is the best example in its original state of a small house in the late vernacular Gothic influenced style in Benton. |
