Additional Information: | A two story structure that combines cement block on the lower story and shingles in the gables of the gambrel roof to give a very organic feeling to this small house. An inset screened porch supported by classical influenced masonry based porch supports and an unusual octagonal roof dormer characterized this unusual house. This house is architecturally significant as the best representative of the early 20th century attempt to use organiz materials to emphasize the structural parts of the house in Benton and in the are in general. The architectural integrity of this house has been well maintained. |
