Additional Information: | Fishscale shingles that cover the upper story and the round porch arches visually dominate this frame two-story house that has a deck roof and a clipped street facing gable. The two sided porch is composed of an arcade that has three-part supports resting on a frame base. Stained glass accents this unusual house. This house is architecturally important to Benton because of the uniqueness of its architectural style. It is one of two houses in Benton to use shingles in this manner. The architectural importance has diminished somewhat because it has not been maintained. |
