Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This three and one half story small office building features a stucco exterior and an asphalt shingled irregular roof. The structure was built in 1870 with an addition or an alteration occurring in 1892. [A].

The Union House Hotel was owned by Benjamin Fish in 1870. Then John Kohn owned it in 1881. [B]. Subsequent historic names for this former hotel building include the Garrison House, the Hotel Dennison, and the Traver Hotel.
