Additional Information: | "This building originally combined styles that maintained a purity of architectural form with Greek Doric columns, an enclosed gable or pediment, and a full return above the balcony. The interior has original wide plank pine floors. Many of the Greek Revival houses in Lake Geneva were constructed using solid walnut framing and sheathing. Walnut trees, which grew in abundance around Geneva Lake, were cut down and floated to the saw mill at the lake's White River outlet, where the Geneva Lake Museum is today. This building was recently completely renovated." A Walking Tour of Lake Geneva, WI, Lake Geneva Historic Preservation Commission, 2015. |
