Additional Information: | Date of construction estimate based upon earliest entry of a grain elevator for Dale, in Wrights Directory for Outagamie County (1910), latest documentation for unimproved site, 1889, Standard Atlas of Outagamie Co., George A. Olge & Co., Chicago. OAHP INVENTORY (08/02/1981): The Dale Elevator was probably constructed in 1910 by the Western Grain Co. The existing structure retains its original use and is virtually unaltered. Existing machinery, which may date to the construction of the elevator, include a monitor dustless compound superstar and a fairbanks scale. With the exception of the elevator itself, which stands at four stories, the building is a single story, gabled roof structure measuring approximately 200' x 40', on a concrete foundation. |
