| Additional Information: | Bargeboards; decorative shingles in gable ends; open front porch with fluted columns, balustrade, and curved center bay; shingled upper story; gable roofed dormers, pedimented, over two story three sided south, north and front bays; leaded glass windows; corner turret. Peter Connor, real estate salesman, lived here between c. 1913 and c. 1924. One of the relatively few buildings in the city exhibiting the influence of the Queen Anne style, this house has retained a good degree of architectural integrity. However, as part of the group in Watertown exhibiting less architectural character than others in the city, this house is not an architecturally significant example of the Queen Anne style. However, it does contribute to the architectural character of the proposed district. |
