NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This hipped roof barn has a tower at its southeast corner. In 1879 the New Glarus Schuetzen Verein (shooting club) purchased the land on the north side of town for a shooting park. Several years later (1907) the Schuetzen Haus was built. The park and barn are used today for a number of Swiss hoilday festivities.
