Additional Information: | Most striking of the wooden giants in the area which follow the late Victorian Neo-Jacobean motifs. Heavy beams and braced timbering followed the characteristic old New England Framing methods. Wide porch, stick-style brackets on the main gables with unique dormers projecting from the roof. A more sprawling type of Queen Anne Colonial survival type--Queen Anne was changing by elements of the Colonial revival. Built by Henry Ludlow, who was the president of the First National Bank, and occupied the home. The residence was later occupied by F. B. Luchsinger, the daughter of Henry, Frank A. Shriner, and Henry Bauman. Dates are unavailable. |
