Additional Information: | This 3-story Commercial Vernacular apartment building and store was constructed in 1915. It is rectangular in plan with a concrete foundation, brick walls, and a flat roof. The front elevation faces northwest and is symmetrical in plan with banks of 2-pane shop windows at each end and recessed doors between. A wide set of concrete steps with metal handrails is located in the center of the elevation. The second and third stories contain two banks of 3-over-1 windows and two larger 4-over-1 windows. Small diamond-shaped blocks are located between the second and third story windows. The interior of the building retains the original metal ceiling, but is no longer identifiable as a retail shop (the property currently functions as a yoga studio). Permission to photograph the building's interior was not available at the time of this survey. MAP CODE IS 0709-132-1033-5. Resurveyed August 2012; changes include the replacement of first-story shop windows. |
