| Additional Information: | Photo Code: OS 10/3. The Italianate villa was a fairly popular style in Oshkosh. Unfortunately, most of these designs have been altered or destroyed. This remains as the best example. The square tower adjoins the main gable; small windows alternate with brackets along the frieze of the tower. Other notable details are the pedimented window caps and angular bay window. The porch somewhat Queen Anne in style is a reconstruction. From c. 1883 to 1890's the house was occupied by J. Hoernig, owner of a meat market on Main Street. |
