Additional Information: | F in photo code stands for FCS. This is a story and a half vernacular front gable frame house with a shed-roofed, one-story rear extension. One of seven identical structures on a curving street bordering a paper mill, it was presumably built and originally owned as company housing. 549 is clad with aluminum clapboard siding and roofed with asphalt shiingles. The centered, front entry is shielded by a curved fiberglass and aluminum hood, and flanked by vertical sash windows with aluminum storms. A single sash window is centered in the upper story gable. The right, north side wall has only a single, small window at the rear. A cement porch slab has ornamental metal railings. A replacement chimney protrudes from the center of the roof ridge. Adjacent to the house is a garage. |
