| Additional Information: | F in photo code stands for FCS. This is a story and a half vernacular front gabled frame house with a shed-roofed rear extension. One of seven identical structures on a curving street bordering a paper mill, it was presumably built and originally owned as company housing. 555 is clad with aluminum clapboard siding and roofed with asphalt shingles. The centered, front entry and flanking vertical sash windows are shielded by an added, full-width, shed-roofed porch on turned columns. Paired sash windows are centered in the upper story gable. There is a single wooden step up to the wooden porch floor. A rebuilt brick chimney protrudes at the center of the roof ridge. Adjacent to the house is a garage. |
