It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Christina Kuhl (1836-1919) was the original owner of this Second Empire house in 1886. Though the house belongs to the supposedly retired French style it is a personal statement which creates a Bavarian castle feeling. The front porch was remodeled c. 1900. Was converted into apartments c. 1919. Later owners of this house include Fred G. Kuhl, Sr. (1870-1932), Lillian Held Kuhl Gurath (1883-1974), Jack Worzalla, and Gaudencia (Gady) (Mrs. Jack) Worzella. |
