NOTES
Additional Information:House is an example of the Queen Anne Style with its exterior framing, steep proportions, and carved wood-work on the bargeboards and porch.

This house was built in 1892 by David Lloyd Jones (1841-1905) for his daughter Gracie P. Rodd as a wedding gift. Her husband George was a bookkeeper with the Stevens Point Manufacturing Company. The Rodds moved to Ashland in 1898 and sold the home to A.V. Birch, who was an engineer for the Soo Line Railroad. By 1908, the house was in the hands of Joseph V. Collins (1858-1943). A math teacher at the State Normal School, Collins lived in the house until at least 1940. Later owners included Edward Palbrach, Dr. Frank Iber and Mark and Veronica Randall.
