Additional Information: | DESCRIPTION The house on this property is a cross gable form with two and one-halt\f stories and a steeply-pitched gable-roof. The house has aluminum siding and mostly single-pane double-hung sashes decorated with shutters. The front porch is enclosed. Also onthe property are some agricultural shed and a large gambrel-roofed dormers projecting from the siding. Ther are several steeply-pitched gable roofed dormers projecting from the side of the barn roof. These dormers are commonly seen barn details in Mequon. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND This house and agricultural outbuildings were owned by Friedrich Brueggemann between 1857 and 1893 and by H. Arthur Schmeckel in 1915. [a,b] |
