Additional Information: | DESCRIPTION This simple Italianate house has a low-pitched intersecting gable roof, clapboard siding, and an enclosed porch. In the front gable is an occulus window. There is a modern picture window on the front facade. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND This house was owned by Phillip Lemke between 1857 and 1867 and by August Lenke between 1867 and 1900. The house and modern or remodeled agricultural buildings on the property are still in the hands of the Lemke family and know as Lemke Seed Farms. |
