Additional Information: | This two story commercial building has been significantly altered. The first story is partially concealed by plastic panels, a continuation of the storefront from the adjoining building. The three second story windows have been bricked in and the face of the building has been painted. Details which remain on the building include segmental arches above windows and the cornice composed of corbelled brick and raised panels. The second story of this building is basically identical to the Heil grocery building at 1313-15 Second St. (PT 4/1). This commercial building is not on the 1874 Birds-Eye map but is on the 1884 Sanborn-Perris map. It has had numerous commercial uses over the years including jewelry store and saloon. |
