Additional Information: | A FRAME, TWO STORY HOUSE ON A STONE FOUNDATION WITH A HIPPED ROOF THAT HAS PEDIMENTED, GABLED EXTENSIONS TO THE NORTH AND TO THE SOUTH. FISH SCALE SHINGLES OVER THE ENTIRE UPPER STORY TERMINATING IN A SLIGHT FLARE AT FIRST FLOOR LEVEL VISUALLY DEFINES THE TWO-STORY STRUCTURE OF THE HOUSE. PROJECTING CORNICES OVER LONG NARROW WINDOWS, A WRAP AROUND BALUSTRATED SPINDLE PORCH SUPPORTED BY TURNED POSTS, A CHAMFERED CORNER DECORATED BY "CUT-OUT" BRACKETS FURTHER ACCENT THIS 19TH CENTURY HOUSE. THERE IS A ONE STORY HIP AND GABLE EXTENSION AT THE REAR. THIS HOUSE IS IMPORTANT ARCHITETURALLY TO THE COMMUNITY BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED IN ITS RELATIVELY ORIGINAL STATE. |
