| Additional Information: | 1995- "House, VE26/6. This small, intact, nearly square plan one-story Front Gable form house is located on the west side of USH 14 immediately north of the City of Viroqua's corporate boundaries. The house has a simple asphalt shingle-clad gable roof, it is clad in clapboards, and it features four-over-one-light double hung windows, pairs of which are located to the left of the centered gable roof entrance vestibule and in the gable end above it on the building's east-facing main facade. There is also a front-gabled clapboard-clad one-story garage to the left (south) of the house. The original owner of this house is still unknown and so is the date of construction, but its design suggests that it was built between 1920 and 1940. Although it possesses a high degree of integrity, this house is very simple in design and is not believed to be eligible for inclusion in the NRHP." - "USH 14 Transportation Study ", WisDOT ID #1646-07-00, Prepared by Timothy F Heggland (1995). Demolished between 2023 and 2025. |
