OAHP INVENTORY (08/81): The Schwandt Implement Co. is a 1 1/2 story, concrete block building with hiproof and front dormer measuring 44' by 74' feet exclusive of the garage. The building was probably constructed in 1939 for the Shiocton Dairy Products Cooperative Association which manufactured cheese. The co-op closed its doors in 1976, at which time the structure was sold to the Schwandt Implement Co. who currently occupies the building. The windows and entrances have been altered and none of the original cheese making equipment exists. demolished prior to 2011 |
